This policy governs the return, refund, or exchange of jewellery purchased from The9kstore.com/the9karat.com. Due to the customized nature and value of fine jewellery, we enforce a strict 2-day policy.
Strict 2-Day Policy
All requests for return, refund, or exchange must be initiated and documented within a non-negotiable 2-Day window from the date your order is officially marked as delivered by the courier service.
- Eligibility Window: You have 48 hours from the date and time of delivery to contact us and initiate the process. Requests received after this 48-hour period will be rejected.

Condition of Item: The returned item must be unused, unworn, un-altered, and in brand-new condition. It must be accompanied by the original packaging, tags, and the original invoice/receipt.

Mandatory Inclusion: The BIS Hallmark Certificate of Authenticity must be returned with the product. Failure to return the certificate will result in a deduction of ₹500 from the refund amount.
Items Not Eligible (No Exception)
The following items are strictly non-refundable and not exchangeable:

Customized/Personalized Items: Jewellery that has been custom-made, modified, or engraved specifically for the customer.

Altered/Damaged Items: Any item that shows signs of wear, resizing, or damage, or has been altered by a jeweller other than the9kstore.com/the9karat.com.
Refund Process
Once your returned item is received and passes our strict quality check (QC), the refund process will be initiated.

Timeline: The mandatory QC process takes 3-5 business days after the item is physically received by our facility.
- Issuance: The refund will be credited back to your original payment method (e.g., credit card, bank account) within 7-10 business days after the QC is approved.

Deductions: If the Certificate of Authenticity is missing, a flat deduction of ₹500 will apply.
Exchange/Sizing Policy (Strict)
Design Exchange (Within 2 Days): We do offer an exchange for a different design of equal or greater value, provided the request is initiated within the 2-day return window.
- If the new item has a higher price, the customer must pay the difference.
- If the new item has a lower price, the difference will be refunded to the customer's original payment method after the exchange is complete.
- The original item must pass the required 2-day QC upon return.
Sizing/Resizing Policy: We do not offer any resizing services for any purchased ring. It is the customer's responsibility to ensure the correct size is ordered at the time of purchase. If the size is incorrect, the customer must utilize the 2-day exchange/return policy to send the item back and initiate an exchange for the correct size.
